PRESS RELEASE - Official working visit of Prof. Dr. Eden Mamut, Secretary General of BSUN in Turkey
Between 20th and 24th of December, 2021, Prof. Dr. Eden Mamut, Secretary General of the Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN) participated to an official working visit in Turkey.
During the visit, he participated to meetings with Amb. Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), with Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Turkish Higher Education Council, with Prof. Dr. Mehmet Naci Inci, Rector of Bogaziçi University in Istanbul and with Prof. Dr. Abdullah Atalar, Rector of Bilkent University in Ankara.
Also, there were visited laboratories and research centers, meetings were held with professors and reseachers from diferent departments, faculties and research centers from the Bogaziçi University in Istanbul, Bilkent University in Ankara and Karadeniz Technical University in Trabzon.
The program of the visit included working meetings with Dr. Ercan Küçük, Director of the Central Institute for Research in Fisheries, visit to an aquaculture farm in Trabzon and at the Development Agency for the East Black Sea - DOKA from Trabzon.
During the visit and the working meetings there were addressed topics related to the BSUN priorities and the activities that are planned for the next period. There were detailed the projects that are in different phases of implementation and project proposals that are in preparation for different calls and there were established the deadlines and responsiblities for the agreed activities.
In 2022, the BSUN member universities will be involved in the program of activities dedicated to the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and to the process of updating the Black Sea Economic Agenda.
